The beauty of everyday objects.

Masini Silverware was founded in 1946 and started producing in a classic “Bottega” next to the Ponte Vecchio. The company was the first to experiment matching two materials, sterling silver and crystal, on the Italian market. In particular, they made bottles and carafes, making these their specialization at the beginning.
Manual ability, talent and fantasy are typical traits of the antique Florentine tradition and have, over the years, been integrated perfectly, giving rise to inimitable creations maintaining classical styles which are also conceived for modern generations.

Today Masini is well known on the market for a very wide range of silver items which preserve a high level of craftsmanship frames and collection pieces but also, and above all, for the incomparable assortment of the “Gran Gourmet” collection: a wide range of oven-proof porcelain and silver plate supports satisfying the ever increasing demands from the retail and horeca markets.

Art and History

Keys are a universal symbol of authority and power and are figured on many noble coats of arms and even on the Pope’s coat of arms. The presenting of Keys goes right back to the Middle Ages and has been a precious prize for the great and powerful ever since.

It is not, therefore, surprising that presenting the keys of the city has always signified recognizing, in fact and right, a privilege to few as evidence of their power, magnificence and regalness. This tradition, handed down over centuries, even if with minor auspicious ceremony, is still used today, presenting silver keys from a precious collection as a sign of recognition to important people.
